Denton Home Inspector Receives Industry Honor
DENTON, Texas (February 25, 2009) – Jim Hemsell, a Denton, Texas home inspector, received the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) 2008 Ironman Award.
Established in 1998, the Ironman Award recognizes an individual member who has given his or her time, energy, talent and determination to ASHI over a long period.
Hemsell, owner of A Closer Look Inspection Services, has been a home inspector since 1983 and has completed more than 8,000 inspections. As a past president of Lone Star ASHI, the Society's Texas chapter, he is an active contributor on the local level. He has also held membership and various leadership positions with the Texas Real Estate Commission, the Texas Real Estate Inspector Committee, the Examination Board of Professional Home Inspectors and the North Texas Chapter of the Texas Association of Real Estate Inspectors.
2008 ASHI President Brion Grant said, “Hemsell has been serving ASHI and the home inspection profession for many years. He has served on many ASHI committees since the 90s on, helped create and set up two different chapters in Texas; served for six years on the Examination Board of Professional Home Inspectors; and now serves on the ASHI Board.”
