American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI)
Frank Lesh of Home Sweet Home Inspection Company in Indian Head Park, Ill., has been awarded the 2004 John E. Cox Member of the Year Award from the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) for outstanding service to the Great Lakes Chapter of ASHI. The award was presented by the Society in Austin, Texas, during the group's recent Annual Business Meeting and Awards Ceremony held in conjunction with InspectionWorld 2005, the annual conference of professional home inspectors.
Established in 1990, the Cox Award honors individuals who have made exemplary contributions to their chapter. The recipient must be an ASHI Member who has rendered outstanding service to his or her ASHI Chapter, either over a period of years or under special circumstances that may not occur again. The Cox Award recipient is nominated by his or her chapter, and selected by ASHI's Council of Representatives.
"Frank's unselfish devotion to his chapter and more importantly to the home inspection profession, is just what he brings to our chapter," said ASHI Great Lakes Chapter President Russ Augustine. "He continues today to seek a better future for the home inspection profession, he believes in and promotes the principals of ASHI, and he has proven this with his total professional and personal commitment to the Society."
Lesh has been a member of ASHI since 1990 holding both national and local positions. He currently holds the national position of vice president. According to Lesh, "I have a great deal of experience and enthusiasm for ASHI and am looking forward to building on this honor as I continue to serve ASHI as a national officer. I am also looking forward to helping the Society promote its industry-leading standards and ethics guidelines."
