Getting Started - Step 1
InspectPAC is not a membership organization where you pay annual dues.
Your participation in the form of money contribution is strictly voluntary. In fact, federal law prohibits any forced participation and you may refuse to contribute without reprisal. To join or participate in InspectPAC your company must first file an "authorization to solicit" form. Click here to download the Authorization Form.
Your company's chief executive officer or principal ASHI company contact must sign and return the form to ASHI Headquarters. Your authorization to solicit may only be granted to one Federal PAC per calendar year. If you are unsure if an Authorization Form has been submitted to ASHI, please send an email to inspectpac@ashi.org and let us know your name and company and we'll check our files and will let you know.
PAC Contributions - Step 2
Following receipt of the above authorization, you may then contribute to InspectPAC by simply filling out the donor form and mailing it back to InspectPAC with your check or credit card authorization. Please note that Federal Law requires all contributions to InspectPAC be of personal funds from individuals who maintain membership in ASHI. No corporate dollars can be contributed to a PAC. Also by law, PAC contributions are not tax deductible. See below for ways to contribute corporate dollars to the InspectPAC Administrative Fund.
If you are ready to make your personal contribution to InspectPAC, please download the Contribution Form.
Company Contributions - Step 3
While contributions to a PAC must be of a personal nature, companies, corporations and even ASHI Chapters and allied home inspector organizations may contribute dollars to assist in the form of the InspectPAC Administrative Fund. While not excessive, there are real expenses to operate the PAC that ASHI pays for each year. These expenses include staff time, postage, printing, etc. Federal Law allows for corporate dollars to be contributed to help offset these expenses. Be aware, however, that none of these dollars can or will be given to the PAC. We will only use your contributions to operate InspectPAC.
There is a section on the PAC Donation Form where you can identify your contribution to the Administrative Fund.
