FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

General Information
Who can attend Inspection World?
Anyone can attend InspectionWorld, although ASHI members pay a reduced registration fee.

What day should I arrive? What day should I leave?
The conference officially starts on Sunday, January 12, 2014, with the opening of the Expo Hall at 3:00 p.m., and concludes at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday, January 15, 2014. Pre-conference courses are planned for Saturday and Sunday, January 11 and 12. A three-day Commercial Building Inspection course will again be offered as a post-conference course on January 16, 17 and 18.

The majority of people will arrive during the day on Sunday to take advantage of a leisurely visit with vendors in the Expo Hall, and, by arriving early, you will be settled and ready to go when the conference food and beverage events begin that evening. You also might want to come a few days early or stay a few days longer to enjoy all that Nashville has to offer.

Where will the conference events take place?
The Expo Hall and the education sessions will be held in the Nashville Convention Center, located at 601 Commerce Street in Nashville.  The President's Leadership Reception, President's Gala Dinner and Dance, and InspectPac Reception will be held in the Renaissance Nashville Hotel at 611 Commerce Street in Nashville.  The Nashville Convention Center and the Renaissance Nashville Hotel are connected by an indoor walkway.

Where do I go when I arrive?
In the Nashville Convention Center, go to the IW Nashville registration desk located at the door of the Expo Hall. Each attendee will be provided a conference name badge and lanyard and an IW Nashville tote bag containing an onsite program, a padfolio and pen along with an electronic copy of the conference proceedings, which includes the complete set of the session handouts.

What is the schedule for the educational sessions?
There are three, two-hour session blocks each day, Monday through Wednesday, totaling 18 session hours available for you to attend. During each class time, you must make a choice of one session to attend between five tracks. Choose whichever courses appeal most to you. Review the session descriptions and create your own schedule. There are no advance reservations for any of the sessions - just show up.

Is there a separate registration to attend any one of the
Pre-Conference courses and the Post-Conference course?

Yes. Registration for any of the Pre-Conference courses and the
Post-Conference course being offered is completely separate from InspectionWorld registration.

Will I be on my own to find seating at InspectionWorld Meals?
In the Expo Hall on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday there is plenty of table seating for everyone. There is always plenty of seating, though it's not always easy to find your friends in the crowd. But whether you're with friends or traveling alone, this is a great chance to meet new people and "network." Don't pass it up! If you see an empty seat, ask the others at the table if it's available. Three good ice-breaker questions are: Where are you from? How long have you been a home inspector? Have you been to any great, new educational sessions? By the end of the conference, you'll have gathered several business cards and made some new connections in home inspection.
