Building Science and Structure

Water heaters are a building component every inspector is familiar with, but just how deep does that familiarity go? This session takes an in-depth look at uniform plumbing codes that are relevant to the inspection water heaters, as well as going beyond the code to identify and discuss combustion category types. We will go over general requirements, combustion air, proper venting, and how water heaters draft (and don't!).
