RECOGNIZING STRUCTURAL WARNING SIGNS

This course provides information to assist inspectors in recognizing construction flaws and hidden structural issues commonly overlooked during an inspection. Being able to identify the warning signs directs the inspector to the problem areas for more complete and accurate reports. The course includes actual examples of warning signs and the corresponding problems, many of which result in costly repairs for the homeowner.
Todd Duncan, P.E. is a licensed structural engineer and president of Structural Engineering Assessments, PC, a structural consulting and forensic engineering firm. Retaining licenses in more than 15 states, Todd has worked in the field of structural investigation and design for more than 25 years. Todd has studied in the specialized areas of forensic investigations. He provides design repairs for damaged structures and consults as an expert witness in litigation matters involving buildings and other structures. Todd currently serves as the appointed structural engineer board member on the Building Board of Adjustments and Appeals for the City of Knoxville.
