Reserve Fund Studies are commonly performed for homeowners associations, community associations, condominium corporations, etc. These studies are an integral part of their budgeting process, as well as a road map for upcoming major repairs and replacements.

While the thought of working with spreadsheets of information may give the impression this work is complicated, it’s not significantly different than doing a high-level inspection. Some things are different, like estimating component life expectancy and replacement costs, but these reports are much less technical. There is also less liability, as your client already owns the property – the report is simply a planning tool.

Come find out why preparing Reserve Fund Studies is an excellent complimentary service for home inspectors to diversify into, using skills and contacts they already have.
