This session will cover improving report writing. Simply meeting the national and state Standards of Practice isn’t enough. Improved report writing can save the inspector time and money, provide a higher quality product for the client/customer, lead to more referrals and income, and manage risk.

Miki Mertz, ACI, has been inspecting homes in the Kansas City area since 1992. She is also NRPP Certified for radon testing and performs mold testing. In 1993 Miki co-founded the Midwest Inspectors Institute where she’s taught beginning home inspectors from all over the country. The Great Plains ASHI Chapter is proud to have had Miki on its Board of Directors continuously for 19 years, serving as President 4 different terms. She was the first female elected to National ASHI’s Board of Directors. Miki enjoys teaching buyers, sellers, realtors and inspectors about houses. She has been teaching children and adults for 34 years.
