This is an introductory course regarding the issue of lead hazards and the regulations that the EPA and HUD have created to address this problem. The EPA issued the Renovation Repair and Painting (RRP) Rule to address lead hazards created during renovation and established the lead dust sampling technician discipline which will be described. To work as a dust sampling technician, an individual must successfully complete the 8-hour training course.

Charles Faigle is a Construction Management Professional with more than 35 years experience managing all phases of construction contracts and training of administrative and field personnel. Projects that he has completed include new construction and renovations of churches, special needs schools, childcare facilities, retail stores and shopping centers. Mr. Faigle is a graduate of Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, New York with a Bachelor of Science degree (with honors) in Building Science/Construction Management. He is the Founder/Director of the Contractors Training Center that includes the Lead-Safe Training Center.
