General Info/FAQs
Who can attend InspectionWorld?
Anyone can attend InspectionWorld, although ASHI members pay a reduced registration fee.
What is the cost to register?
The schedule of registration fees will be posted on this site prior to the start of registration on October 1, 2010.
Is there a partial fee if I want to attend only part of the conference? Or is there a special guest fee if I want to bring my spouse or a friend who's coming just for one event?
We will be able to accommodate special requests on a one-by-one basis at the ASHI Registration Desk onsite. Single day registrations, single day Expo Hall access, extra tickets for the President’s Gala, extra tickets for the Luncheon Meeting and Awards Ceremony, and extra spouse tour tickets will be available onsite.
What day should I arrive? What day should I leave?
The conference officially starts on Tuesday, January 25, 2011, with the opening of the Expo Hall at 1:00 p.m., and concluding that day with the Opening Night Expo Hall Reception. Once the conference has started, it continues non-stop until the end of the educational sessions at 6:00 p.m. Friday, January 28, 2011. This is the official end of the conference. The majority of people will arrive during the day on Tuesday, to take advantage of a leisurely visit with vendors in the Expo Hall, and by arriving early you will be settled and ready to go when the conference food and beverage events begin that evening. You also might want to come a few days early or stay a few days longer to see the sights of Atlanta.
What should I wear to the conference?
Be comfortable. Days at conference can be long and intense. Comfortable shoes are a must; the hotel is big, but the function space is all on two levels with easy access between them. During conference hours, standard dress is "business casual." People tend to dress a little more formal for The President’s Gala on Thursday night, but jackets and ties are never required at InspectionWorld.
How do I buy education session recordings, and when is the best time to do it?
Most sessions at InspectionWorld will be recorded and available for purchase during the conference – soon after each session concludes.
What are some other things that I should think about bringing with me?
• A sweater or jacket, as the hotel and function rooms can be a little cool for some people
• A light winter coat for walking outside – average temperatures in Atlanta in January are high of 50 degrees and low of 30 degrees
• Comfortable shoes — you'll be walking a lot; don't let vanity overrule good sense.
• Plenty of business cards
• Work-out gear, if you want to take advantage of the hotel fitness center
