What is the weather like in Phoenix?
The average temperatures in Phoenix in January are high of 65 degrees and low of 40 degrees.
Will it be difficult to get flights to and from Phoenix?
As everyone is aware, getting the flights you want, when you want them, at the price you can afford, is sometimes a challenge. The Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport is one of the busiest in the country, and many airlines serve Phoenix, with direct flights to 120 cities.
How do I get from the airport to the Arizona Biltmore?
There are numerous taxis and limos available. Typical taxi fare from the airport to the hotel averages $35. The hotel’s preferred limo service is ExecuCar.
How do I reserve a room at the conference hotel?
Make your hotel reservations now. ASHI has contracted for a special conference room rate of $165 single/double, which will be in effect through Monday, December 12, 2011 (three weeks before the start of the conference).
How will I know that my hotel reservation is all set?
You will receive email confirmation directly from the hotel to let you know that your reservation is made and ready.
If there is a problem with my hotel accommodation when I arrive, will ASHI help me?
All accommodation issues are handled directly by the hotel staff. Aside from reserving a block of rooms big enough for the projected number of attendees, unfortunately ASHI does not have the authority to do anything about correcting errors made in the type, size, or location of your room. If the desk clerk is unable to help you, ask to speak to a manager. With so many people arriving at the same time, there may be an occasional mix-up, but the staff at the hotel is there to serve its customers. Don't be afraid to ask.
Can I attend InspectionWorld without staying at the conference hotel?
Yes, however, since all activities will take place at the Arizona Biltmore, and because of the remote location of the property, you should always consider the convenience factor when making your decision as to where to stay. Furthermore, ASHI has contracted with the Arizona Biltmore for a block of rooms at the special conference rate (which, as you are probably aware, is part of the overall package of contracting for meeting space and food and beverage service). Attendees who use the conference hotel are helping ASHI to fill the room block.
Can I extend my stay at the conference hotel?
Yes. The special conference rate is available for the nights of the ASHI events, Wednesday, January 4, 2012 through Saturday, January 7, 2012 — and in addition to these nights, you may extend your stay to between December 30, 2011 and January 11, 2012 at the special conference rate (subject, of course, to availability). If you wish to stay additional nights, you will be advised to make your reservations at the earliest opportunity.
What are some other things that I should think about bringing with me?
