Is the Exhibit hall open during the Opening Night Reception?
Yes, the spotlight will be on the exhibitors at the Opening Night Reception. All exhibitors will be on hand during the event, and we encourage you to circulate through the Expo Hall while enjoying the food and beverage service. The Expo Hall will remain open after the reception until 9:00 p.m.
Can I bring a guest to the Opening Night Reception?
Yes, but you must purchase a Wednesday Exhibits-only ticket for them to gain entry. Only registered attendees (including registered spouses) and those with an Exhibits-only ticket will be allowed to enter the Exhibit Hall during the Opening Reception. Tickets are available at the onsite ASHI Registration/Information Desk, located in the Expo Hall Foyer.
Are spouse tours included in the Spouse Registration fee?
There are four Spouse registration categories. Only Spouse Social Tour/Activity Package registrations will include the special spouse tours/activities. Spouse Full Conference, Spouse Conference Education and Spouse Social (no tours) registrations do not include the spouse tours. All spouses will have unlimited access to the Spouse Lounge Thursday & Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.; and Saturday, 9:00 a.m – 4:00 p.m.
My spouse will be registering for Full Conference/Education, but really wants to participate in one or more spouse tours. Can he/she do this?
Yes, of course. Tickets for the individual spouse tours/activities are available in advance and onsite.
Is the President's Gala outside?
No. The President’s Gala will be held in the conference hotel in the Arizona Biltmore Ballroom.
Can I purchase tickets for the President's Gala only?
Yes. Visit the onsite registration booth to purchase tickets.
When will the Annual Business Meeting be held?
We are repeating again this year the luncheon format for the Annual Business Meeting and Awards Ceremony, to be held on Saturday, January 7, from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. All registered attendees are invited to attend this event, as we conduct the annual business of the Society, including the swearing in of the new officers and board members and recognizing the service of outgoing officers and directors.
How do I enter the ASHI Prize Drawings?
Look for the prize drawing coupons in the Coupon Book included in your Registration Bag. Fill out each form and drop it off at the ASHI booth in the Expo Hall prior to each drawing for your chance to win! In addition, many exhibitors will be holding their own prize drawings in their booths.
Will I be on my own to find seating at InspectionWorld meals?
Thursday and Friday breakfasts, lunches and breaks will be held in the Expo Hall in the Frank Lloyd Wright Ballroom. The Friday President’s Gala and the Saturday Annual Luncheon Meeting will be held in the Arizona Biltmore Ballroom. There is always plenty of seating, though it's not always easy to find your friends in the crowd. But whether you're with friends or traveling alone, this is a great chance to meet new people and "network." Don't pass it up! If you see an empty seat, ask the others at the table if it's available. Three good ice-breaker questions are: Where are you from? How long have you been a home inspector? Have you been to any great new educational sessions? By the end of the meal, you may have a new ally in the biz!
