Education Tracks
InspectionWorld Phoenix offers 45 educational sessions falling into five different specialty tracks (plus a sixth complete 18-hour track on the 2012 International Residential Code), and attendees are welcome — and encouraged — to move from track to track throughout the conference. Per your request, we are continuing this year to offer more advanced-level courses, and we are also repeating one of the sessions, to assist you in your scheduling.
Here's a breakdown of what each track offers:
Inspecting Essentials Track
This track is designed for beginning home inspectors (or as review for experienced inspectors); sessions cover many of the fundamentals of performing home inspections.
Beyond the Basics Track
This track is designed to provide expanded treatment of individual fundamentals topics.
Advanced Learning Track
This track provides advanced information covering various inspection techniques/home components.
Specialty/Diversity Track
This track focuses on areas where an inspector can add client services and on alternative inspections that may provide additional sources of income.
Business Management Track
This track offers sessions relating to the business aspects involved with running a home inspection company.
2012 International Residential Code Track –
“New codes for a new year”
An in-depth explanation of the 2012 International Residential Code. The focus will be changes since the 2006 and 2009 IRC. This class will include a copy of the 2012 IRC and will explore the entire book. Sessions will include design, nonstructural requirements such as stairs, foundations & framing, wind & seismic bracing, roofing, plumbing, mechanical systems, and electrical systems. This class is the ideal training for anyone wishing to obtain or renew their ICC code certifications. The class is presented by Douglas Hansen, the principal author of the Code Check series of field guides to building codes, endorsed by the International Code Council. Vendor Showcase Track
Selected exhibitors will present one-hour sessions to provide you with an in-depth understanding of their products & services. These sessions will not conflict with education sessions.
