What do you do with the information given in the "e-mail a friend"?
If a user elects to use our referral service for informing a friend about ASHI's links or Web site, we ask them for the friend's e-mail address. ASHI may send the friend an e-mail inviting them to visit the site. ASHI stores this information for the sole purpose of sending this e-mail. The friend may contact ASHI at hq@ashi.org to request the removal of this information from our database.

Do you track me on your web site?
Yes, we may collect your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our web site. (An IP address is the unique number that is assigned to your computer automatically when you log onto the Internet.) We also use IP addresses to monitor visitor traffic patterns and site usage to help us further develop and improve the content and design of our site. Does your site use cookies?
Yes. A cookie is a piece of text that can be entered into the memory of your browser. We use cookies to save your ASHI Membership ID number so you don't have to re-enter information each time you log into the "Members Only" area of the ASHI site and to keep our database free of duplicate records. If you disable cookies then your information will not be saved and will have to be re-entered each time you visit the site. However, we do not store your credit card information with the Membership ID within the cookie - that information will have to be entered upon each transaction. This site does not discriminate from the online contact information we collect with regard to age. Therefore, it is possible for children, without prior parental consent or parental notification, to submit contact information.

Can I opt out of receiving information?
Yes. Any messages you receive from us will always contain unsubscribe instructions. We reserve the right to maintain information on users who have violated our ASHI Policies and Procedures or who have had their access to us blocked in order to detect repeat offenders.
